About The Magdalene's

The Creation of Magdalene Rising

Magdalene Rising began as a collaboration between women who felt a deep call to explore and share the hidden spiritual legacy of Mary Magdalene.

What started as conversations about spiritual awakening, early Christian texts, and the suppression of the Divine Feminine gradually evolved into a shared vision: creating a space where women could gather to explore these teachings outside the constraints of traditional religious frameworks.

The three co-creators — Sandi, Carrie, and Linda — each arrived at this work through their own paths of awakening, study, and personal transformation.

Together, they recognized that many women were going through similar experiences:

• questioning inherited belief systems
• rediscovering spiritual intuition
• seeking deeper meaning beyond institutional religion
• feeling drawn to the teachings associated with Mary Magdalene

Rather than positioning themselves as authorities, the founders envisioned Magdalene Rising as a circle-based community, where exploration, reflection, and conversation could happen collectively.

From the beginning, the focus was not simply on teaching information, but on creating experiences that help women reconnect with their own inner authority and spiritual wisdom.

The First Magdalene Summit

One of the first major initiatives of Magdalene Rising was the creation of the Mary Magdalene Summit.

The summit brought together researchers, spiritual teachers, and authors who have studied the historical, spiritual, and symbolic role of Mary Magdalene.

Its purpose was to introduce participants to perspectives that are rarely discussed within traditional religious education, including:

• early Christian texts discovered outside the biblical canon
• the Gospel of Mary and other Nag Hammadi writings
• historical reinterpretations of Mary Magdalene’s role
• the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine in spiritual traditions

For many attendees, the summit served as an entry point into a much deeper exploration of Magdalene teachings and spiritual awakening.

The event also helped establish Magdalene Rising as a growing hub for women seeking thoughtful, grounded discussion of these ideas.

What Emerged From That Beginning

Following the summit, Magdalene Rising expanded into additional offerings designed to support ongoing exploration and community:

• women’s circles and discussion groups
• spiritual study of early Christian and mystical texts
• guided practices focused on inner awareness and soul voice
• collaborative conversations with teachers and researchers

From these early efforts, the vision of the Magdalene Path began to take shape — a structured yet flexible framework for women navigating spiritual awakening and reclaiming inner authority.
